Invisalign

What is Invisalign?
Invisalign is an orthodontic treatment that offers patients an excellent alternative to traditional braces. It offers patients the choice of aligning their smile without having to deal with the aesthetic hindrance of metal wires and brackets. Using advanced, custom-made aligners, the Invisalign trays will help gradually shift your teeth over time. Invisalign trays are made with high-grade plastic that are generated using a mold taken of a patient’s smile.
How does Invisalign work?
You will first come in for a consultation with your dentist to be fitted for your custom mold. This will be used to create alignment trays that will be replaced every few weeks to provide a gradual adjustment to your smile over the course of your treatment. Aligners will typically need to be worn 22 hours a day for about 18 months, though this varies depending on the needs of the patient.
Is Invisalign right for me?
Traditional braces are a tried and true way to straighten your smile, and dentists still recommend them due to their effectiveness. However, some patients prefer not to have to deal with the visibility of metal braces.
